I couldn’t do this on my own, so I partner with my wife, Kristi, who is also an agent with Hawai’i Life. We offer two licensed agents to represent your interests.

Mike Despard


I have worked in the real estate development, design and construction industries since 1993, when I earned my Bachelor of Architecture degree from Iowa State University. A lifelong fan of great design, I enjoy thinking creatively about houses and their potential. I know how to evaluate needs and wants to help you find ways to reach your goals. If you're selling, I will help you market and position your home for maximum results. If you're buying, I will help you find a home that is exactly what you want or perhaps one that just needs some creative help. I am a responsive agent, and I will update you on the process as much as you desire.

While I will be your primary contact and be involved in every aspect of the transaction, Kristi works mostly with sellers and is available to assist as necessary (including staging advice, being present at showings and marketing the property to her sphere of influence). This is our bread and butter. Representing sellers and buyers is not a part-time gig for us. We make our livelihood helping people with, in most cases, the largest purchase or sale in their lifetime.
